Work Program


A major role of the Centre will be to review research findings regarding nutrition policy and programs and produce authoritative documents and guidelines that will steer nutrition interventions in NSW.

The Centre has four key streams of work which guide the products and activities of the Centre. They include:

 

These are derived from the Centre’s four main goals:

1

Promote good practice in public health nutrition;through dissemination
of information about program effectiveness and other lessons from
literature and experience regarding population strategies.

2

Provide technical support and training to the public health workforce
in planning, implementing and evaluating their nutrition policies and programs.

3

Develop an agenda for applied research and evaluation in public health
nutrition in NSW.

4

Regularly compile and disseminate information to the public health workforce about the food and nutrition situation in NSW.


The Centre's work program which specifies major projects and activities, including collaborative projects to be undertaken with several agencies and groups.
